Demand General Mills to redesign Yourplait containers to prevent animal deaths

The company's statement says that they ask consumers to recycle the yogurt cups but as we all know that only small number of people participate in recycling programs. A large number of people through them away where it's easy for small animals to stuck their heads for the sweet but deadly treat. Only small number of animals get rescued. The top of the container does not allow to remove all of the yogurt even using a spoon. Hand rinsing them will not do the job well, I tried. Often times, I see recycling truck and garbage track loose the content of their bins and they end up on the street and with rains, entering water ways through sewage openings. Only small number of these containers get properly recycled. Tell the company to be more responsible for the outcome because not all consumers care about animals and the environment. Not all consumers have recycling facilities. Not all consumers are aware of the impact. It is up to responsible people to solve the problem. If the company is not willing to change the design of these cups, boycott General Mills product.

Dear Kendall J. Powell, the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of General Mills,

We are not satisfied with the company's stand on protecting the environment and wild animals. Simply asking people to recycling does not work and there are plenty of proof that you may know well about. Only small amount of people recycle and not every place provide recycling facilities. People leave their used yogurt containers in the woods, on the streets, and anyway, you name it. The design of the cup does not allow people completely rinse off the left overs of the yogurt because the spoon can not reach the upper area of the cup. Not only that. I witnessed recycling trucks loosing their content and the cups just rolling around, and making it's way to the larger opening of water collections on the street. It is time to stop putting a responsibility on the consumers because we all know, it's not woring, but the time to take your own responsibility for the death toll of wild unfortunate animals.

I hope you will take it seriously and we will see changes any time soon.

Thank you for your attantion to the global issue.
