Ban anti-gay Russian politicians from Canada

It’s no secret that human rights in Russia leave much to be desired. But the recent crackdown on the rights of gay, lesbian, bi and trans people is now fuelling anti-gay violence. The world must not turn a blind eye.

It’s time that the Russian politicians responsible for some of the most oppressive legislation felt the consequences of their choices. Sometimes verbal condemnation of such laws is not enough in the international arena; especially when Russia is set to host the Winter Olympics next year.

Now some Canadian politicians and the public they serve are calling for the Russian politicians who devised these laws to be barred from entering the country.

Join them by asking the Canadian government to bar anti-gay Russian politicians from Canada and to put pressure on the United States and United Kingdom to do the same.
