Venezuela: Stop Punishing Citizens for Protesting!

According to a recent Human Rights Watch report, Venezuela's socialist government has been abusing the rights of protesters by using excessive force, illegal detentions and failing to follow due process.

Protesters were standing in opposition of crime, inflation and product shortages in their home country. So far, police brutality has left at least 41 dead, nearly 800 injured and over 2,000 arrested. More protesters have been coming out against these human rights abuses, and the cycle of violence continues.

Certainly the police have a duty to control violent and destructive protesters, but not with excessive force, torture and denial of due process rights. Please sign the petition to urge Venezuela's government to investigate these human rights abuses and punish all officers responsible.
