Sailors aboard the USS Lincoln have endured truly atrocious conditions, thanks to Trump and Hegseth launching a war but apparently skipping all the steps involving resupplying troops, giving them breaks, and doing the other critically important things you plan for in a war—assuming you have a brain.
Those aboard the Lincoln have now spent more than 260 days at sea, without a break, reportedly enduring food shortages, water contamination, broken plumbing, severe stress, and even multiple incidents of sailors going overboard. Their families have been pleading with military leaders to take the situation seriously.
Trump's response? He called the many, many, many reports "fake news," essentially calling the families liars, and said the record-setting deployment wasn't long enough.
These families are already going through hell, and the Commander in Chief can't even stop being an asshole long enough to listen to what they're saying? Instead, he dismisses their concerns and mocks those serving their country aboard the Lincoln?
