Stop penalizing employees from working hard.

To whom it may concern, I would like to support a change to a minor portion of the labor law so that California does not penalize corporations for their employees working over 5 hours without a lunch. In a lot of Corporations, such as Walmart, make policies to ensure that they don't get penalized therefore passing the buck of penalty on to the employees for working as hard as they want. The vast majority of other states do not penalize these corporations and their employees therefore can work as long as they want without lunch. I understand that the law of working no more than 5 hours is needed; I'm not opposed to that law. I'm opposed to the penalization of companies therefore making these companies turn what is supposed to be a protective law into a restrictive policy. Laws are meant to be protective not restrictive. I just so happen to have been fired from one of these corporations due to the fact that I have a work ethic and I got punished for it. I worked 4 minutes past my 5 hours without a lunch and I got fired for it due to the fact that my Corporation had this restrictive policy because of the supposedly protective law that penalizes this company. This is teaching the vast majority of Californians especially young Californians to be lazy and not work as hard because they might get punished for it. So please help me and sign the petition so that we can stop the penalization Cycle from affecting the work ethic of our young people.
