that's the full story. but to sum it up, governer corzine is closing the nine of the beloved new jersey state parks that so many enjoy each year. why? to save a few bucks that isn't entirely needed. do you think this is fair? i'm from pennsylvania, but my family and i have been camping at those parks ever since i was a baby. those parks are a place i can relax, and i enjoy my time there, as do so many others. don't allow the government to do this to us. we cannot let this happen. if you sign this petition, you'll be doing a good thing for our world. just one signature can make a difference.

My name is Samantha Eddy. I am 16 years old and from North Wales, Pennsylvania. I live with my parents and my three older brothers. My family has always loved the outdoors, it's always been a place for us to relax and enjoy our time together. I have been camping since I was a baby, and my parents have been camping long before that. We love the New Jersey State Parks, and we have camping adventures there several times a year. We love being there and enjoying our earth, as do thousands of other families. We go camping with our younger cousins, and all my aunts and uncles. My uncle sets up scavenger hunts for us. We canoe and kayak on the lakes. We swim in the lakes. We hike through the woods and look for birds and all types of animals. I still love to do all of that. It's really a lot of fun. You really should try it some time. Take your family there, and admire the beauty of our precious world. Closing these wonderful recreational parks would be devastating to the community and to our earth. Most people cannot afford to buy houses in Ocean City, or Avalon, or other beaches such as those. These parks are our "beaches", where we spend our vacations. And we enjoy them just as much. Taking these parks away is like taking away a part of us, a part of me. So all of the petitioners and I beg you, please do not go through with this. Please, we need these parks. Those parks have been there for our lifetimes. And now it's time for us to be there for them.
