OCS Needs to Do Their Job or be Audited
OCS is not properly doing their job. They are letting children and babies stay in violent, abusive homes. I know this for a fact because I know of a 3 month old that was caught in the crossfire of a fight between his mother and father. The father was holding the baby while the mother and father were physically fighting. OCS was notified that night, and even before that night, and yet they do not remove the baby from the home. The OCS investigator told the mother that as long as the baby had diapers and what he needed, they would not pull the baby from the home. What does a baby need with diapers or other things if he is braindamaged from getting hit in a fight or dropped? This woman had a past history where her oldest son was pulled, yet the investigator did not even know of this past history, even though the OCS office was told about it.
How many more children are left in violent, abusive homes and subjected to this kind of behavior? Diapers do not make a difference if the child is emotionally scarred for life
