The NFL champion Philadelphia Eagles won a thrilling game against the Patriots.
The Eagles should celebrate by declining the traditional trip to the White House – as long as Trump is the resident. Go to Disneyland, or head to Hawaii, or take a Caribbean cruise. Go have some fun, you earned it. But spending time with Trump? The guy who stood up for white supremacists in Charlottesville? The guy who encouraged your owners to "fire" any "son of a bitch" that dared to protest for civil rights during the National Anthem?!!?
No WAY that's fun. You didn't work this hard, put your heart and soul and heads into this season to stroke Trump's enormous yet fragile ego. Hell, he'll probably want you guys to ride a tank and salute him during his "my missiles are bigger" parade he's planning.
Media reports say that Malcolm Jenkins, Torrey Smith, and Chris Long are already planning on missing the visit. I hope the team that has been called the "most woke" in the NFL proves it and protests Trump and his rhetoric by rejecting the White House invitation.
