Petition for Changes at Animal control

Request to terminate employees at Animal control for numerous reports from the community of animal abuse, animal cruelty, poor job performance, insubordination and being insolent, uncivil and unprofessional to the public.

1. We want money allocated to fixing and expanding the shelter.

2. Find the missing play area, where people who want to adopt, can sit in a quiet area with the pet.

3.Have a separate area for cats, away from the dogs, with an area to run, not tiny cages where they sit in filth and crawl all over each other.

4. Add more hours to Saturday and add Sunday hours, to increase pet adoption rates.

5.Lower the adoption fee to seniors over 50, who wish to adopt, and give a discount to anyone who wants to adopt normally less popular pets, such as older cats and dogs, or with minor health problems.   Providing that the new owner is aware of the problem, the cost of any vet bills, and have the income to provide for them.

6.Set out collection barrels for pet food at local grocery stores and donate it to the Animal rescue league foster parents, and anyone who has an economic, temporary need for food for their pet. These would be given to crisis assistance food pantry for distribution.  Any food left over, would be given to Animal Control.

7.To solve the problem of pregnant animals and puppies and kittens that are too young to be fixed, here is your simple solution:When an under age pet is adopted, the owner is given a gift certificate to a local veterinarian, who, when the pet is old enough, will do the procedure and any vaccinations that are needed, that cannot be done before.

This petition shows the intrest of people all over, who condemn this shelter and want change now!
