The concern for our nation and children with a uprise in diabetes and obiesity. Why is it that food stamps can not be used for tobacco and alcohol yet products such as chips, candy, ice cream and other junk foods that are making companies millions at the tax payers expense. The recent discovery that a person was able to bail out of jail with a public assistance debt card is outraegous! Dont get me wrong, there was a time in my life for 3 years that I needed help with 3 children as I was in a home for battered woman and this assistance was greatly appreciated and I didnt use it to abuse my children with junk food and processed frozen foods. This situation struck a nerve in me at the grocery store when I seen a family in front of me that had 3 small children, extremly over weight as well as the mother. Nothing but frozen processed foods and junk on the counter and then I seen the food stamp debt card was used for purchase. I believe if we teach our children how to eat properly, we can change a nation and quit giving into commercials, poor eating habits and illness if we make the changes needed today. We are making companies billions at tha tax payers expence and it it our loved ones who suffer. The farmers should be making these profits and not the corporations that brain wash and advertise commercials that are directly targeted to our children.ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! LETS TAKE BACK WHAT HAS BEEN TAKEN AND TAKE A STAND!
