Legalize Marijuana

Legalizing marijuana may seem like a bad idea. However, there would actually be many benefits if marijuana became legal.
 
Yes, marijuana is illegal, but people obtain it through the illegal market. If marijuana was legal, the illegal market would be used less, and the risk of exposure to other illegal drugs would be reduced.This would also redirect the money flow from drugs from the illegal drug-dealers to the government. If legal, marijuana could be taxed to support benficial government programs. Marijuana is currently used to treat medical patients in many states.
Profit could be made for farmers that can tend and farm the crop.
