Tell HGTV "Someone else can use that!"

Whether it's Proprty Brothers or Love It or List It, HGTV has a reputation for fast and trendy home renovations. During demo day, it is not uncommon to see perfectly usable cabinets, plumbing, windows, doors, etc. get the sledgehammered treatment for the dramatic shot. Yet, there are thousands of organizations, Habitat for Humanity may be the obvious one, who could use the perfectly usable supplies.

HGTV should make it a policy in all their shows that all supplies that can be saved, will be saved and donated to the community. They should double the opportunity to share their talents not only with the grateful homeowners on the show but also a community member in need.
