We the residents of 480 Kenolio Road sign below a petition to improve our road.
The condensed tax paying employees of Kihei workforce employ the county to repair, smooth, and repave Kenolio road north of Ohukai.
We are tired of ruining our cars' suspension, shocks, and tires on a road that is overdo to be repaired. It is costly and unfair to us for the county to wait any longer.
It is not only uncomfortable to drive, but unsafe for bicyclist, and pedestrians to use. There are so many bumps and crevices that a bicyclist is forced to ride on the sidewalk...which interferes with pedestrians. There is only one sidewalk as it is, and that sidewalk belongs to Southpoint condominium. We pay our monthly association fees, and we pay our taxes. BOTH should be working for us.
Why is there no sidewalk on our portion of Kenolio Road? Why don't you continue the new bicycle trail from Safeway to our North end of the very populace who shop at Safeway?
Finally, it is unfair that our investment is downgraded by the county's lack of planning, and obvious neglect to put forth anything towards this concentrated community of the workforce who pay your wages... and as it looks from here...pay the road improvements of our neighbors. Property values are low enough. Please help increase ours.
