These curbs have already cost one life. Others have reported a near miss. They are a danger to our citizens and visitors. They are not placed strategically along the islands busiest corridor where and when traffic is the heaviest. Their placement leaves no room for error by persons traveling west, especially for a stopped bus. Please, City Manager and those responsible, revisit the location of these bus stops before yet another life is lost. This pupose of this petition is to gather signatures to remove and/or relocate the newly added bus stop curbs. There have been accidents including loss of life because they were not well-marked. Additionally, they leave no room for error for the drivers headed west. Please voice that you want the bus stops on 39th and 22nd and seawall removed and/or relocated to a location not as dangerous for the citizens of Galveston and its visitors.
PLEASE DON'T ALLOW LJ'S DEATH TO BE IN VAIN!!!
