Tell Climate Change Leaders to Recognize Recycling

You know how important recycling is. It reduces the pollution associated with the production of new materials, especially glass and plastic. It saves trees by recreating paper out of paper. But climate change experts have been a little slow to acknowledge the importance of recycling in the big picture of a safe, pollution free planet.

The Bureau of International Recycling would like to change all that. They believe the impact of the Paris climate deal would be stronger if countries receiving aid were obliged to earmark a portion of that money for recycling projects. It just makes sense. Recycling is a low hanging fruit, easy to accomplish, and the savings on natural resources are immense. Please join me in asking participants in COP22 — open in Morocco in November 2016-- to require countries receiving aid to use a portion of that money for recycling projects.

Dear COPP leaders:

You surely know that recycling is an important building block in a safer planet, one that is free of climate chaos. Recycling paper saves trees which are am important force against carbon dioxide pollution and global warming. The recycling of glass and plastic also cuts down on the pollution associated with producing brand new materials. I support the request of the Bureau of International Recycling. Please require countries receiving United Nations climate change financial aid to use a portion of that money for recycling projects.
