Organizations for rights and protection of animals and nature "MIA", "FAPS",
"Pseca sreca" from Nis, "HumAnimal", "Zoo-planet", "Druid" from Aleksinac, "Spaske" from Kraljevo and "Najbolji prijatelj" from Vranje
are organizations which stopped the massacre of 100 deer / buck in National Park Djerdap.
Director and headquarters of National Park Djerdap Srdjan Stefanovic
(who already have a legal lawsuit against him filed by Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry )
wanted to adopt a plan by which 100 deer / buck will be massacred by hunters in National Park Djerdap.
According to information given by only men who was against this brutal massacre,
at the time when this plan took place, Slavisa Bozinovic, only 300 deer are residents of this national park,
so this plan would have reduced population to the core and basically means that deer population
would not recover. In last 10 years, 55 deer were shot and they planed to kill 100 deer during this year of 2014.
This was obvious plan for huge massacre and if it wasn't for above mentioned organizations
protesting against this brutal plan this would have become reality.
