WWHS
had a superior rated Ensemble. We worked hard to acheive our goals and never gave up no matter what was thrown against us. But now, the Wilkes County Board of
Education and Dr. Stephen Laws have cut the
music program in half. We've also lost our teacher to the elementary school. They have combined Girls chorus, Intermediate chorus AND Ensemble into ONE
class. We won't have any concerts, contests, OR dinner theaters. Help us get our choir back by signing this petition!

We the undersigned, are against your cut of the West Wilkes High School Choral Department. We have a marvelous choir and by pushing three different levels of choir into one class will be tramatizing for the lower and boring for the higher. We will no longer have concerts, contests, or dinner theaters. If you have attended one of these you would understand how important this is. Why is WWHS the only target? Why can the other three high
schools keep their choir departments? Please give us back our
music!
