PETITION TO IMPLEMENT NOISE DECIBELS
TO:
Council Members of the City of Courtenay
We are residents of the City of Courtenay asking Council to implement an amendment to the city By Laws to enforce the level of noise that is emitted from pumps at night hours.
As residents of city of Courtenay we expect and deserve quiet sleep at night time , without the excessive noise on our health.
Many other municipalities have decibels implemented in their By Law with Maximum allowable at night time 45 dBA when received at point of reception in a quiet District.
Our neighbour swimming pool heat pump runs over 60 dBA at night time when received at point of reception in a quiet District.
As residents of the city of Courtenay we deserve nothing less then a peaceful community in which to live.
