Protect the people! Not the banks!

My name is Martin D. Weiss. I am a financial expert, educator and New York Times bestselling author. I have dedicated my life to helping hard-working citizens like you protect their piece of the American Dream.

All across the nation, elderly citizens are being abandoned due to budget cutbacks ... the sick are being turned away from emergency rooms due to the sinking finances of hospitals ... and millions of children are now homeless due to unemployment and home foreclosures.

This isn't the first time my family has spoken up about misguided policies. In 1959, my father organized a national grassroots campaign that brought 11 million petitions to Congress, helping President Eisenhower give us the last truly balanced federal budget in a half century.

Unfortunately, however, in the decades that followed, our government piled on more debt and an ever-growing burden on future generations.

That was bad enough! Now, the debt explosion is VASTLY larger. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the federal deficit for this year alone is going to be $1.85 TRILLION nearly FOUR times more than last year's deficit.

And that's just the beginning. All told, the U.S. Government has now invested, loaned, guaranteed or promised over $14 trillion more than our entire GDP to rescuing Wall Street and the financial markets.

Result: Interest rates will go up for everyone ... the debt burden for our children is going to be far worse than anything we dreamed possible ... and the victims of this crisis will be more neglected than ever before.

I'm fighting MAD and I'm not going to take it anymore!

I've had it with Washington's plan to throw good money after bad.

I'm fed up with bailed out CEOs committing the same blunders that created this mess, then giving themselves multi-million-dollar bonuses.

I refuse to stay silent while Washington rewards the guilty and neglects the victims.
