CEO caught on video beating puppy, prosecutors drop charges - Demand Justice from the Manhattan DA!

Some animal abusers, even with hard evidence against them, go unpunished.  This petition will be sent to the Manhattan District Attorney's Office asking why charges were dropped and to now have justice served.

This terrible situation was best described by www.examiner.com in the article titled "CEO caught on video beating puppy, prosecutors drop charges" - the article is here in it's entirety:

(A) man who was caught on video, beating his St. Bernard puppy, will not be facing any repercussions.

Daniel Padilla, the 38-year-old CEO of Greystone Aviation Services, a luxury jet charter business, was observed beating his eight-month-old puppy, "Boston," in the elevator of his high-rise apartment building, near Times Square, on Oct. 20, 2012.

The video showed Padilla kicking the puppy in the head and body, and the man later confessed to the authorities that the dog in the video was his, and that it was him delivering the painful blows.

Court papers revealed that Padilla assaulted Boston because the pup ran from him.

On the day of the attack, Padilla had picked the puppy up from doggy daycare, but he failed to bring a leash - when the pup ran away, Padilla tripped and injured himself, apparently taking his rage out on the pup later.

Despite the video evidence, coupled with Padilla's confession, prosecutors inexplicably decided to drop all charges.

According to the Post, the Manhattan DA’s Office has chosen not to comment on their decision.

Since the NY Post publication, several negative comments about the abusive situation have been left on the Greystone Aviation Services page on Yelp.
