Gene Roddenberry created Star Trek as a hopeful vision of a future that humanity could one day achieve. Millions of fans worldwide have been inspired and touched by this vision, including entire generations of scientists, astronauts, and even world leaders. To restrict the next installment of this franchise to an online-only paid subscription (that not everyone can afford these days) not only goes against the original intent of the franchise, but will almost certainly doom the new series to failure.
We, the vast multitude of fans implore Glenn Geller (President, CBS Entertainment) and all those at CBS involved with this decision to air this new series on television for ALL the world to view and enjoy. We (Trekkies, Trekkers, Trek fans) are extremely passionate about Star Trek - undoubtedly one of the most passionate fandoms in the galaxy ( *wink* ) - and we desperately want to support the success of this new series. Please allow ALL of us to do so, and do not limit this series to the fraction of us who are willing and/or able to afford yet another online subscription-based entertainment service.
