JUSTICE FOR SAMANTHA

We are extremely frustrated and hurt that Luis Ortiz, on trial for killing our beloved Samantha, will receive no more than a total of 55 months  - possibly less - for the reckless killing of Samantha Zippo. Samantha was a beautiful, caring young lady with a promising future.  Although not a soldier, she was an army wife.  She provided an important service by supporting her husband, a soldier at Fort Polk.  Unfortunately, he did not appreciate her as we have all learned about the domestic violence that took place before she was killed. The army owes it to Samantha and her family and loved ones to see to it that justice is served.  
We are gathering as many signatures as possible by those that knew Samantha and were affected by her loss.  The U.S. Army needs to hear our voices and know that although we may be hundreds of miles away, we are closely monitoring this case and want Luis to face the maximum sentence possible.  Samantha will never get a second chance.  Neither should Louis.
