We demand that the dog licence is reintroduced

The original dog licence was abolished in 1987 due to it being too much trouble along with time and manpower hours (basically cost), We now live in an age where manpower is not as relevant as it was. Also it was thought that around 50% of dog owners never purchased a licence. It is now more feasible to check on this with technology. Fines and sentencing should be far more apt for not having a dog licence. The reintroduction of the dog licence would hopefully make people think twice about buying a dog. Maybe even curtail puppy farms, dog fighting etc etc. A loving dog owner would never object to the idea of this and any profit could help the thousands of unwanted dogs we have in this country.
