Make Disinformation Promotion a Federal Cyber Crime

Certain Fossil fuel companies are under investigation for funded disinformation campaigns. And yet climate crisis disinformation remains rampant throughout social media in an age of information warfare. While under investigation for well documented funding continues aspersions are launched at the scientists from multiple counties to impugn their reputations to discredit AGW science peer reviewed papers to some prescribed conclusion. Which would mean all of the countries paying their individual scientists would be complicit.
While this is free speech the promotion of that disinformation along with manipulation of browns and data by skeptics and constrains and liar for hire scientists should be a a cyber crime.
This effor to perpetuate doubt to preserve future billions is limiting public awareness and knowledge of the crisis to slow climate policy and any restrictive mandates and to keep the issue of crisis low on voting priority lists.
