Ashe County has a HIGH transmission rate.

Average of 50 new cases per day.

NCDHHS recommends face coverings for areas with a HIGH transmission rate.

NC Strong Schools recommends mask in areas with a HIGH transmission rate. 

The High School closed for a day because of the spread of COVID.

Blue Ridge Elementary is now remote learning for two days.

Feb 3-Feb 4 Blue Ride Elementary remote - Due to COVID-19 impact on staffing, Blue Ridge Elementary School will have remote instruction on Thursday, Feb. 3, and Friday, Feb. 4.

Jan 14 Due to the inability to effectively operate due to the number of staff out sick, we will be dismissing Ashe County High School students at 11:00 am today. We are seeing a significant increase in the number of students and staff with Covid-19 and Covid-19 symptoms.
