Internet/Wi-Fi on campus holds an important part of a students life.
This is a medium where anyone uses it for interpersonal communication, online academic courses, and other extracurricular activities.
The University might spend its funds on a lot of important tasks, however, the use and importance of internet cannot be neglected.
Over the course of semester 1 (and a couple of previous years), there had been a significant number of complaints made by students and students on the campus housing, on the poor internet and drop in wifi signals on campus.
The campus management had informed that there would be an access control system and further improvements over the winter break (2017) that would come of it to benefit the internet use on campus.
Students are taught to be punctual and to have time management in their academic courses, otherwise leading to a penalty.
But it is quite disappointing to notice that an improvement to the wifi/internet services that determine many academic submissions has still not been achieved, due to delays in response from a higher management (provided that a timeline was informed in advance).
In order to properly promote a successful environment on campus, the Dubai Campus needs to speed up the process and allocate more resources to the expansion and improvement of its Wifi on campus, especially on the campus housing.
