Vote AGAINST fox hunting in Western Australia

  • van: Lisa Williams
  • ontvanger: Western Australia State Government

In Western Australia if you see a fox you must trap and kill with whatever means possible. In other states in Australia there WERE various rescue groups that take in and care for foxes instead of killing and possibly domesticate them for housing.

CURRENTLY in countries around the world people have domesticated foxes/ stopped fox hunting for the better.

I proposition we change the disgusting fox hunting laws from cruelly and painfully kill foxes into catching, desexing and possibly microchipping foxes to keep track and to start stopping the 'pest' situation.

It is an offence to release foxes.

Ways to handle a fox CURRENTLY:

- A variety of toxins and pestiside

- Soft jaw leg traps, snares and cage traps

-Landowners are permitted to hunt and kill foxes on their own land. A recreational shooter needs to get permission from the landowner before shooting on private lands. Shooting on most public lands is prohibited. In New South Wales, foxes are listed as a game animal under the Game and Feral Animal Control Act 2002 and regulated hunting is permitted on designated public lands.

-Dogs may be used to flush a fox out from cover so it can be shot. This use of dogs is governed by a state or territory’s animal welfare legislation.

ALL FOXES WILL BE KILLED.

RECREATIONAL AND DOG HUNTING IS ALOUD CURRENTLY.

STOP KILLING THESE BEAUTIES!
