75% Over 5 Million

It is no lie that our country is in trouble. The economic policies enacted by the Reagan administration ("trickle down" economics) and subsequently sold to the American people repeatedly over the last three decades has proven to be totally ineffectual in providing the promised effects. In fact the exact opposite of what the people were told would happen has happened. Individuals, families, and corporations sitting on the top tier of society have amassed extraordinary wealth over the common people. With that wealth has evolved or perhaps even devolved, a mentality of privilege. In turn this mentality has crept into our government and institutions and brainwashed them into the cult of the almighty dollar.

As a citizen of the United States, and as an employer of the politicians, so many of whom fit this description, I hereby propose a mandatory 75% tax, to be calculated before deductions of any kind, on all income over $5 million. This tax shall be applied to both individual citizens as well as corporations.
