Fair Treatment of Students at Lakeshore High School
I think its imperative with the incidents of bullying in our schools throughout the recent years that we collaborate effectively and remind our administrators not to fall short on doing the same thing.
My son who attends Lakehsore High School has been harassed, searched with no probable cause several times based on a neighborhood rumor. After many attempts to question the administration, their approach was to deflect, dismiss and use the same "bullying" tactics. One of the administrators actually used the term "you don't make me nervous".
I have contacted our State Education Department, as well as our Congressman and both Senators. This needs to be exposed and corrected. We need to remind these administrators that they are in fact the adults and are setting very poor examples for these students to learn from. My main motivator for doing this is to insure another student tragedy does not happen at this school again. Thank you for your time and support.
