Stop Animal Testing For Makeup!

  • van: Eric Rardin

Maybelline and L'Oreal are still testing their products on animals. Add your name if you want to ban this cruel practice, NOW.

Imagine that you live in a cage just big enough for your body to fit in.

At least once a day, you are taken out and strapped to a stainless steel table.

A chemical is applied to a sensitive part of your face, like your lips or your eyelids. It burns. It causes your face to swell. You exist in a perpetual state of pain because of it.

This is your life.

All you have to look forward to is more suffering.

Reality can be like this for animals that are kept by testing facilities charged with proving the safety of makeup products.

Maybelline, and their parent company L'Oreal, still employ this barbaric practice. Even though it might not seem like it at first...

Maybelline states on its website that they are a subsidiary brand of L'Oreal and then proceeds to post L'Oreal's 2019 animal testing policy:

"L'Oréal no longer tests any of its products or any of its ingredients on animals, anywhere in the world nor does L'Oréal delegate this task to others. An exception could only be made if regulatory authorities demanded it for safety or regulatory purposes."

It sounds like a great policy, at face value...

But did you catch the critical detail?

They will still test their products on animals if a nation's regulatory authorities require it.

China is one example of such a country.

And Maybelline/L'Oreal sell their products in China, according to one source.

This means that these companies continue to test their products on animals.

That's why we're calling on Maybelline, and their parent company L'Oreal, to do the right thing and stop selling their products in nations that require them to test their products on animals.

Do you believe that animals deserve to live happy lives, free of torture in captivity?

Then add your name to demand that Robert Hiatt, CEO of Maybelline; and Jean Paul Agon, CEO of L'Oreal, to do the right thing and stop trading with countries that require them to test their products on animals, NOW.
