Don’t Cast Meryl Streep in STAR WARS Episode IX!

This idea if re-casting the role of Princess Leia with Meryl Streep (or any other actress for that matter) is so terribly wrong on so many levels, I can't even believe it is being considered.

The idea alone is an insult to the legacy of Carrie Fisher as the iconic character of Leia.

Disney already blew it by making Han Solo a dead beat husband and dad, by making Luke a psycho coward lying loser, by not re-uniting the three actors for at least ONE scene in the new Trilogy, and now there's talk of Carrie being REPLACED by Meryl Streep.

Is there no dignity left in the world?

Carrie Fisher is (god bless her soul) dead and gone, and so is Princess Leia with her.

Resurrecting Leia's cold dead body in the vacuum of space was not only ridiculous, but gross and disrespectful. It would have been the perfect time to let her go.

Or if they were determined for her to exit in a blaze of glory, they should have had HER lightspeed ram that mega Star Destroyer.

Keeping her alive only to recast her with another actress is a horrible, insulting proposition.

Every one of my friends that are longtime, old school fans of the saga have said they WILL NOT GO SEE Episode lX with a re-cast Leia, and I agree.

Disney is desecrating and demolishing the franchise at light speed. This garbage isn't going to last long before there's a full revolt.

Signing this petition is a shot across the bow for Disney to right this Titanic mess of a ship NOW, or pass the STAR WARS franchise on to someone who can do it justice and make a SW movie that doesn't resemble a steamy pile of bantha poodoo.

(Please encourage your friends and fellow STAR WARS fans to sign this petition when and where you can)
