During his trial for defaming the families of Sandy Hook massacre victims, InfoWars host Alex Jones revealed that at one point, his company was making up to $300 million a year off of peddling appalling, unhinged conspiracy theories.
That is a mind-boggling sum of money for someone who has cruelly inflicted pain and fear on families mourning their slain children — not to mention the amount of damage he's done to the minds of his viewers with the misinformation and fictions he promotes every day.
Hold Alex Jones and other conspiracy-peddlers accountable for profiting off their lies!
Unfortunately, Jones is only one of many right-wing talking heads who promote dangerous white supremacist rhetoric, anti-Semitism, homophobia, transphobia, conspiracy theories, and outright falsehoods — much of which is eventually parroted by Trumper politicians and used as inspiration by right-wing mass shooters.
But the Alex Jones trial could set a precedent for holding each and every one of these callous liars accountable for the angst, frustration, and fear that they impose on the targets of their rants. It's time to make them all pay!
