Ladies, gentlemen, brothers, sisters, and future comrades, there is a problem brewing at Peace Corps Moldova. At this moment, Peace Corps staff are planning to convert our beloved lounge into a staff kitchen. This is unacceptable.
Our PCV lounge is a valued asset which all volunteers use and appreciate on a daily basis. It is the only safe place in Chisinau for us to congregate and conduct our business. Projects are put together and vital relationships are built between PCVs in our one space within the Peace Corps building. Our lounge is our shelter from the storm which is Moldova. The prospect of losing our space gravely concerns all PCVs.
Please sign this petition for the following reasons:
1. We as Peace Corps Volunteers and future Volunteers are against the conversion of our lounge into a kitchen for the use of Peace Corps staff. It is our space. Respect it.
2. In the future, we as volunteers expect any changes to the 3rd floor layout to be addressed to us in clear and candid communication. PC Moldova has failed in this task.
We have power in numbers. We can win this fight if we as Peace Corps Volunteers stick together and stand for what is right. With that said, sign the petition. We have until the 5th of August.
