Facebook went without emoticons from its debut in 2004 until 2016. Then, by February 2016, Facebook added more emoticons. It had just the "like" emoticon for 12 years (though the "dislike" button may have been added in 2011 or so too). Facebook has the love, wow, haha (laughter), angry and sad emoticons to express oneself on the posts too. The six emoticons have been helpful. However, there should definitely be even more emoticons. Here are suggestions and reasons why we should have more emoticons for Facebook.
Facebook is the world's main social media platform used. The emoticons can make the platform even more useful. We need the emoticons of other feelings like being happy, the disgusting/disgusted emoticon, the afraid emoticon, the frustrated emoticon, the nervous emoticon, the excited emoticon, the furious emoticon, the surprise emoticon and the skeptical emoticon. That way we have more expressions for a post.
