STOP THE CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION (C&D) WASTE DISPOSAL FACILITY IN CLAREMONT NH!

" A BETTER CLAREMONT (ABC)" in Claremont NH, was established to educate our community that we will receive NO benefit and much harm from a construction and demolition (C&D) disposal facility proposed by American Recycling on Industrial Boulevard. This proposed year-round facility is a poorly designed site and the facility will process between 300-500 tons C&D waste DAILY (77 trucks), brought in from all over New England, loaded into railroad cars at Claremont Junction, and shipped out to Ohio for disposal. The negative impact on residents and businesses is real and must be stopped. There are 300 plus homes nearby as well as 2 elementary schools. Contamination of the area is certain. Irreversible damage to a stream, a wetland and the neighborhood will occur. This project is in the wrong location and is the wrong design for such a facility.
