Demand Justice for a Pet Deer that was Targeted and Killed by Trophy Hunters

A pet deer, who would let children ride on his back, has been targeted and killed by trophy hunters, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Owners were shocked to find their beloved red deer Karl lying headless on their property in north-east Victoria.

The trophy hunters had hacked off the deer's head in what is thought to be a targeted attack because of the size of the stag's antlers, which would be worth up to $20,000.

The owners of Karl said in the report that he was majestic but gentle and would even eat out of their hands - and let children ride on his back!
