ONE SCHOOL! ONE CAMPUS at MLK Elementary School 960 10th Street (Oakland Unified School District)

OUSD made promises that have not been kept. The Lafayette and MLK community, staff, and most importantly, our children, have been very negatively impacted by the merger that the School Board approved last year. We are under attack again! A charter school now wants to move in and share our MLK campus. We want our children to come back from Lafayette and attend school on the MLK campus. Once that happens, there will not be rooms available for the charter school to move in and disrupt our school.

What our MLK/Lafayette School needs: One School! One Campus! Stop the school division! We want our 4th and 5th graders on the MLK campus!

We demand that our 4th and 5th graders return to MLK and unite as one school! We are fighting for a safe, sustainable, stable environment for our children at MLK. Stop this divide and conquer of our public school!
