Driving Age Restriction In New Jersey

To help prove that the Driving Age Restriction for the Early Bird road test in the state of NJ shouldn't be 16 for all teenagers, but instead of assuming that we're all irresponsible, giving us a chance to prove that not all but some of us are responsible and attentive enough to operate a motor vehicle on public roadways. and then affording us a chance to earn a permit at any dmv in NJ.

Dear, NJ Legislature

We are writing to you as US citizens in regards to the “Driving Age Limit” in the state of NJ, research that was done by the Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association (R.M.I.I.A) proves that 16 year olds have a higher crash rate than drivers of any other age, with that being said we believe that if we go 2 (two) years younger we would find a responsible and trust-worthy difference, because teenagers don’t gradually approach being behind the wheel but as soon as they’re 16 they go to the dmv and take the “Early Bird” road test and pass, and from there they drive amongst people increasing the risk of accidents, where does practice come into play you ask?, we don’t really know, but you take a 14 year old, who can have a licensed driver teach them beginning at age 13 and when there 14 they can have a permit giving them 2 (two) years to practice driving, so when there 16 they’ll be more experienced, and less likely to be involved in accidents,(earning them a driver's license). 7 (seven) of the 50 states (Montana, Michigan, Arkansas, Wyoming, Iowa, Kansas and South Dakota) allows teenagers to legally operate a motor vehicle at the age of 14, and 1 (one) of those 7 states (South Dakota) allows teenagers to be licensed at the age of 14.

And also to provide the opportunity for 14 Year Olds to get a permit, But insisting that they show a level of Maturity/Responsibility before hand, and giving them a chance to prove that they can, And if they fail to meet the required standards, denying them a permit the first time around, But giving them a second chance after 4 (four) months.

For it to be taken into consideration changing the “Driving Age Limit” for the “Early Bird” road test in the state of NJ allowing 14 year olds to get a permit, would not be taken lightly, But rather embraced with the utmost Cognizance, Respect, Care and Consideration for fellow motorists, Never ceasing to be alert, abstaining from alcoholic beverages, refraining from the use of electronic devices while operating, always focused and in our right minds, and last but not least... Putting Others First.
