Stop Channel 4 from killing animals for entertainment!

On 12th May there was a programme called the Island with Bear Ghrylls,
The programme premise is that men are flown out to an island to learn
'survival' skills.  This programme showed a caiman (small crocodile
type reptile) being caught, trussed and then killed in the most
barbaric way, having a knife put through it's head whilst fully
conscious.  Complainants to Channel 4 have been fobbed off with inane
responses.  Please tell Channel 4 to STOP this barbaric and unnecessary
animal abuse for entertainment and pledge nothing of this nature will be
done again.

UPDATE 1st June.

This from Channel 4 after asking for address of CEO :'Further to your telephone conversation we note you will be sending through a petition in relation to this programme and will certainly log this and any additional feedback. However, please be advised that we stand by our response to you and we do ensure our programmes comply with OFCOM guidelines which has been the case with this series.'
CLEARLY THEY HAVE NO CONCERN ABOUT THE KILLING OF THIS ANIMAL/PUBLIC OPINION OF THIS!  PLEASE LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS WHEN YOU SIGN, THANK YOU!

Dear Mr Abraham

About this Petition

On 12th May there was a programme on Channel 4called the Island with Bear Ghrylls,
The programme premise is that men are flown out to an island to learn
'survival' skills.  This programme showed a caiman (small crocodile
type reptile) being caught, trussed and then killed in the most
barbaric way, having a knife plunged through it's head whilst fully
conscious.  Complainants to Channel 4 have been fobbed off with inane
responses.  This petition is to ask Channel 4 to STOP this barbaric and unnecessary
animal abuse for entertainment and pledge nothing of this nature will be
done again.  The immoral, painful and inhumane way in which is to the shame of your channel, all for a TV show.  These men were not really dependent on food in this way, it was merely entertainment.  How many people end up on a desert island these days!  Please have some compassion and ethics and do NOT allow this to every happen again.

I have sent this petition off to Channel 4, this is their unconcerned response:

'Thank you for your further mail, however we have provided Channel 4's response to this programme content and therefore, we have nothing further we can add to those responses previously supplied to you.'

Nearly 1000 people from all over the world have signed this and they do not care a jot!
I sent this to viewer enquiries and also to Chief Executive David Abraham, nothing from him either.

Thanks so much to everyone who has signed this petition. I nearly got to 1000, I thought it was time to send off as the programme this relates to was aired in May. I will update you to what Channel 4 do about this. I sincerely hope they listen and no animal is killed at all and never in such a barbaric way again.
