Free Iran

On September 13th, 2022, Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old girl, was beaten to death by Iranian Morality Police for just a strand of hair showing from her Hijab. Her killing sparked anti-government protests in Iran. As a symbol of their freedom of choice, women yell feminist slogans and remove their headscarves.The police are now deploying tear gas, water cannons, firearms loaded with metal pellets, and weapons, such as guns, to kill innocent People within Iran. This week, a children's school with children aged 8 to 10 protesting was attacked. Imagine they were your own children. Children aged 8-10 shouldn’t even know what a protest is.There were 233 fatalities. 23 children were murdered according to the UN Rights Office.

The islamic republic of Iran's Government is not Islamic. It's a Terrorist Organisation which kills its own people. Islam advocates both freedom of religion and freedom of conscience, a position supported by verses in the Qur'an. Religious decisions should be matters of personal choice, not a cause for state intervention. Faith imposed by force is not true belief, but coercion. Punishing people, by death penalty, for showing their hair is NOT islam. Killing innocent people is NOT islam. Holding people captive and murdering children is NOT Islam. Every day, the Iranian people live in fear. With no internet and full-scale media censorship, there is no freedom of speech. Basic human rights include the freedom to choose one's own religion, the freedom to express oneself, and the right to attend school without fear of being bombed or attacked by the government.

The Islamic Revolution was a series of events that ended in the collapse of the Pahlavi dynasty and the establishment of an Islamic republic in the place of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's administration in 1978.
