Tell Cayman Turtle Farm to Stop Breeding Turtles for Consumption!

The Cayman Turtle Farm is the last farm that breeds sea turtles for human consumption. Though sea turtles are solitary in the wild and naturally swim long distances in spacious, clean waters, Cayman Turtle Farm packs 9,500 of them in cramped, dirty tanks where they fight for space. As if that wasn't bad enough, the farm encourages visitors to handle the turtles, which causes considerable stress and mental anguish.

No wonder University of Oxford researchers named the farm as one of the world's cruelest tourist attractions.

Sea turtles deserve to live the way nature intended. Please sign the petition to urge Cayman Turtle Farm to stop slaughtering and encouraging visitors to handle their turtles, and instead to transition into a wildlife preserve that focuses on protecting and caring for their turtles.

As you may know, University of Oxford researchers named your farm as one of the world's cruelest tourist attractions. This is because your farm is the last farm that breeds sea turtles for human consumption. Though sea turtles are solitary in the wild and naturally swim long distances in spacious, clean waters, we understand that your farm packs 9,500 of them in cramped, dirty tanks where they fight for space. We are also aware that your farm encourages visitors to handle the turtles, which causes considerable stress and mental anguish.

We believe sea turtles deserve to live the way nature intended. We urge you to stop slaughtering and encouraging visitors to handle your turtles, and instead to transition into a wildlife preserve that focuses on protecting and caring for your turtles. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
