Justice For Quinnyon Wimberly

On Saturday October 12, 2019 at approximately 9:11 a.m. the undeveloped building on N. Rampart and Canal Street called the "Hard Rock Hotel" collapsed. This disaster killed 3 workers and injured several other workers. The three men that were killed on site was 49-year-old, Anthony Magrette, 63-year-old Jose Ponce Arreola and 36-year-old Quinnyon J. Wimberly. The rescue team and responders were able to safely remove Magrette's body from the building. The other two gentlemen's remains are still inside of the Hard Rock Hotel for over 40 days now. The city imploded the cranes and were supposed to extract the bodies within days of the implosion, their efforts were unsuccessful. The city was considering a second implosion of the building with the bodies of the deceased still in there. As of November 26, 2019, via news media, the Engineers hired by the owners came to an agreement that they will no longer do an implosion; but, proceed with a demolition operation. The instability of this circumstance has been a world wind. Nevertheless, whether the city and engineers agreed on the implosion or demolition, We want the remains of Quinnyon J. Wimberly out the Hard Rock Hotel. We also feel strongly about removing the remains of the other deceased person that's still in the building as well. This is not their final resting place or burial site. Please help us bring closure and peace to the families by signing the petition. We thank you and appreciate you.
