The only reason girls can't wear tank tops and shorts is because men can't control themselves. Why is it okay for guys to wear tank tops and shorts and girls can't? I've seen guys come to school in "booty shorts" and no one said anything to him. Was it because he was a guy?
Telling woman what they can and can not wear is practically telling us that we're not allowed to express ourselves.
I'm not saying that it's okay for woman to walk around in school wearing shorts that show their butt. Because that's not okay either.
I've witnessed at school, woman wearing 9 inch heals and fish nets, and no one said anything. But god forbid if someone wears a tank top and it shows their shoulder. I think that the enforcement at the school should stop being sexist and pay attention to what's going on.
Did you know that in some schools, if you break the dress code violation, you have to walk around wearing a "violation shirt". It's shaming the student and practically influencing bullying.
