Presco Ltd is forcefully using the Nigerian Army to intimidate farm owners to acquire their lands to plant Palm trees. This activity is taking place in two states of Edo and Delta States, with the pretence that the Oba of Benin sold the said land to the company. Under the Land Use Act as amended, only the Federal, State and Local Gvernment have the right to acquire land. Now Obanaghorho, Evwibovwe, Ogadjere, Ologhoromin , Orionmoho LGA of Edo State , Ovre-Eku, Abraka in Ethiope East of Delta State. The Federal Government , because of the dependence on crude oil, has asked Nigerians to go back to farming. At a time that Nigerians has started to embrace farming, Presco Ltd is driving more one million farms into starvation. This farms will not have a land of their own to farm, starvation and death will stare them on their face. Presco Ltd is going against the Government call to Nigerians to go back to the farm. Stop Presco Ltd and the Army from forcing people to part with their lands. Presco Ltd should stop to drag the name of the Oba of Benin into disrepute. Government should withdraw the Soldiers attached to Pesco Ltd , that they are using for intimidation. The people do not want money, they need their land for farming.
