Permitting Unnatural Hair Colours : Our Right To Freedom Of Creative Expression

Currently, at Brampton Manor Academy Sixth Form, teens of ages 16-18 are unable to dye their hair colours which have been deemed "unnatural." However, firstly, I believe the that as young adults we should have the right to creatively express ourselves however we please and thus are entitled to have whatever hair colour we so please.
Secondly, the only argument against having coloured hair is that it is deemed "unprofessional" however our generation and year group believe that firstly, we are at an age where we should be allowed to experiment with hair colour without societal constraints and secondly that in today's society creative physical appearances are more accepted by employers. Thus our school is actually perpetuating discrimination based upon looks by suggesting that hair colour would affect someone's ability to carry out a task- which we believe contradicts the school's aim for inclusivity and acceptance. Therefore we should be permitted to dye our hair whatever colours we desire.
