Stop legalized voter suppression

Many people arrive at voting locations and find out they have been removed from voter rolls due to programs like interstate crosscheck because their name is similar to another voter in another state. These programs transparently target minorities. Others have moved and not notified authorities to remove their name from voter registration at their former address but only vote at the new one. If someone is going to be removed from voter registration they should have to be notified at least 60 days prior to the next election with full instructions on how to remain on the rolls and phone numbers to call if they have a problem doing that. Members of armed services away from home on active duty should not be barred from voting from their duty station only because they don't answer an inquiry at their residence. Voting is the cornerstone of Democracy. Voting is a civil right. Being registered in more than one place is not illegal as long as you only vote once. Having a name similar or even identical to someone else is not a reason to be denied the right to vote. If they are going to take people off voter registration because of someone somewhere else having the same name they should do the same for politicians.
