Help Us Put a STOP to Road Rage by Signing The Chelsea Gerrish Law

Road Rage has gotten completely out of hand recently, endangering the lives of others and putting them in unnecesary harmful situations, is completely unacceptable.  Driving is a privelege, people need to understand that. You must respect the road and the people on it. There need to be tougher laws to deter such terrible senseless acts like these from occurring. We are kindly asking for everyone’s support so we can have this law passed and to help protect the ones you love from this happening to them as well.

The Chelsea Gerrish law will implicate the punishment for aggresive driving/road rage be as followed:

higher fines, temporary loss of license, mandatory anger management classes and drug/alcohol testing during a 2 year probationary period. Repeat offenders will receive even higher fines and indefinite loss of license. If the aggressive driver should get into an accident and/or cause vehicular manslaughter due to road rage driving, then they will be charged as it being a felony offense, with all of the above penalties and serve X amount of years in prison with no option for parole.

On October 11th 2013, our 20 yr old daughter Chelsea Gerrish, lost her life tragically in a violent act of road rage. Chelsea was less than two miles from her new home that she shared with her two year old son, when she was struck head on by a pick up truck going 70mph that was also harrassing another vehicle which the driver then passed them, illegally on Browns Bridge Rd.’s 40mph speed limit, killing her instantly. The horrific recorded 911 call that tells the story as it happened literally sends chills down our spines, knowing that hearing when that crazed man hit our baby is when she left us & was sent Home to Heaven.

Our daughter may be gone, but that doesn’t mean we wont stop fighting for her. Because road rage is a terrible epidemic sweeping our nation, claiming lives and destroying families, our family has decided to take action! Road rage needs to STOP & we intend to do everything in our power to pass a law against it in honor of our daughter. Chelsea’s life may have not have been able to be saved, but we want to make a difference so that no one else has to ever endure the pain and grief that we are feeling now and will for the rest of our lives.
