Stop Persecution of Rough Sleepers! Change the Law to Protect not Punish

Homelessness disables people and no-one is immune from it.

It is NOT a lifestyle choice and should not be a crime. Yet it is currently legal to prosecute, fine or forcibly remove rough sleepers due to an old vagrancy laws.

Fining or compelling rough sleepers should NOT be legal. 

County Councils must STOP using old laws that are no longer appropriate for today's society and NOT be allowed to cause distress to vulnerable rough sleepers.

We Petition for:
Repeal and amend the 1824 Vagrancy Act.

STOP bureaucratic persecution of the disadvantaged and homeless.

Add Rough Sleepers to the Fair Housing Act

Stop enforcement discretion against homeless people and uphold the Rule of Law.

Block Legal Opportunism in matters relating to Rough Sleeping.
