Congress, Don't Cut Funding for NPR!

For years, I have carried my ancient, battered portable radio from room to room so I can listen to NPR as I go about my day. I have experienced many "driveway moments" when I couldn't get out of the car because I had to hear the last of some radio show.

NPR's balanced and informative reporting allows me to remain current on important issues. I appreciate how they have live discussions with input from listeners on local and national issues. Their in-depth news coverage and commentary always provides a lot of food for thought, and inspires great discussions with my friends and family.

I also enjoy their other programming, which can range from serious to fun. The thought-provoking "TED Talks" have always given me valuable insights into ideas large and small, local and national, spiritual and philosophical. The wit of "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!" and "Car Talk" have made many long drives go by in a snap.

I know I'm not the only one who loves our public radio stations. So if you have ever had a "driveway moment" while listening to NPR, please sign my petition telling Congress not to cut its funding. We must stand together against the Trump administration's attack on public radio.
