Demand to allow Physical Therapist to Practice Dry Needling in Florida

Physical Therapist in more than 40 States are allowed to practice Dry Needling. In Florida, Judge Stevenson last February 29,2019 ruled that Physical Therapists would neither pose an increased risk of harm to patients nor cause patients to confuse dry needling with acupuncture. Moreover, evidence demonstrated that the safety, efficacy, and benefits of dry needling performed by physical therapist help patients returned to prior level of function. I petition to allow Florida licensed Physical Therapists to be able to perform dry needling to patients who are in pain due to musculoskeletal issues and be able help the State of Florida in its fight against pain medicine abuse.
